I’m finally caught up with Jett’s monthly updates- hooray! He’s technically 9.5 months right now, but who is counting?! This month has brought us a lot of changes and challenges just like any other month but boy is he ON THE MOVE. He is also eating what seems like more than an adult at dinner time. His appetite is insane. Keep reading for more on his schedule and all of the other 9 month updates!

LIKES:
He LOVES this little toy remote. His other favorite teething toys that we always keep on his Joovy Spoon walker are this banana teether and this carrot teether. He currently has 5 total teeth- 2 bottom and 3 top!
DISLIKES:
Jett doesn’t really like getting his diaper changed anymore and loves to try and roll off of the changing table. It’s quite terrifying, really. Gone are the days when he would just lay there while I ran to the closet to replenish the diapers- ha!
MILESTONES:
Week 37- Jett thinks the dog is HILARIOUS. He will crawl over to him and just giggle. I guess Dwayne is pretty funny looking!
Week 38- He bit me while nursing so hard that I bled. I had to use my Silverette nipple covers for about a week at night while it healed and didn’t nurse on that side for about 5 days. I would nurse on the other side and pump the side that he bit me on until it healed.
Week 38- He finally started crawling with both legs as opposed to army crawling. He held onto the army crawl for weeks and his outfits at daycare would basically get ruined from him dragging his belly on the ground all day- ha!
Week 38- Skyler and I had our second weekend trip away and Jett stayed with his grandma. We weren’t nearly as worried this time around! It’s so nice to get a couple of nights away and so so refreshing!
Week 39- Jett got a really bad rash. Apparently it was from the virus he had but we kept him home after bringing him home early per the doctor’s advice. I got a call on a Monday from daycare to pick him up (they were worried he had hand, foot, mouth), so I immediately made him a doctor’s appointment. After his doctors appointment and the following day the rash actually got worse before it got better. Luckily it was gone after 48 hours!
Week 39- Now have to nurse him at night in his room with the lights off. I typically nurse him while sitting on the couch, but now he’s way too distracted by the dog or whatever Skyler is doing and wants to play. I started nursing him in his room with the lights off and the first two nights he still wanted to play, but now he knows that it’s time to nurse and go to bed!
FEED:
Jett is still eating 3 meals a day and sometimes he has snacks in between. He also breastfeeds in the morning and at night and has 3-4 bottles at daycare that are half breast milk and half formula. Typically he has a pancake and some fruit for breakfast and something similar at lunch (breakfast foods like eggs, cheerios, fruit, etc.). For dinner he usually has a pancake appetizer while I’m making/cutting up all of his other food. Then he will eat 4-5 chicken nuggets, a jar of pears or prunes if he is constipated, cheerios, some form of vegetables (pureed or he really likes spinach and kale bites from Trader Joes), some whole fat greek yogurt, and some fruit. It varies what he eats daily, but that’s a just an example of a day of his meals! He eats a lot!
SLEEP:
Jett is still sleeping through the night with an occasional 1am wake up. If he wakes up in the night, he usually falls right back asleep after he finds his pacifier. I wrote more about how we got him to sleep so well in this blog post!
That’s all the updates I have for now! I hope y’all have a fantastic day!

Haley
