This past month has been a whirlwind with so many new things happening. Jett started daycare (or “school” as we like to call it) and I went back to work. There were a lot of changes in his schedule but luckily he’s still sleeping through the night! I’m sharing all of the details in today’s post!
BUMBO SEAT // RATTLE // WOODEN TEETHER
LOVE TO DREAM SWADDLE (C/O LOVE TO DREAM USA)
LITTLE UNICORN SWADDLE (SIMILAR HERE)
LIKES:
Jett loves playing with his little toys and can grab/pick up his little wrist rattles. He’s starting to grab at things too and recently got a hold of my sunglasses and threw them in the sand- ha!
At daycare, he loves to sit in the bumbo and his teacher puts toys around him so he can play. He loves the crunchy books and basically anything he can pick up.
He loooooves bath time! Now he’s splashing in his little bathtub and has a big smile when the water is going everywhere. We might have to move his bathtub into the big tub soon so he isn’t getting water all over the kitchen!
DISLIKES:
Jett hates when I pick his nose but he has boogers all of the time (especially when I pick him up from school)! I’m thinking about getting the oogiebear- if any of y’all have used it let me know what you think in the comments!
He also really doesn’t like when Dwayne licks him. He’s started to notice Dwayne and Dwayne has started paying more attention to him, but Dwayne gets a little carried away with licking him. This is something we are working on with Dwayne. He’s really sweet to Jett and likes to sit next to him even when Jett accidentally kicks him. It’s really sweet to see Jett start to reach for him and I know they will soon be best friends.
MILESTONES:
Jett is officially big enough and has enough upper body strength that he can be held on mommy’s hip! He hasn’t liked being carried like a baby for awhile so it’s convenient he’s big enough to hold like this now.
15 weeks- started daycare (or “school” as I like to call it!). There’s another baby at school who is 3 weeks older than Jett and the very first week his teacher sent us a video of them laughing at each other. It’s the cutest video I’ve ever seen, but I was kind of offended that Jett doesn’t think his mom or dad are funny enough to laugh at yet! He will give us a little giggle every once and awhile but really makes us work for it. So far daycare has been great and we often get photo updates of our little babe so that definitely makes the work day easier. Jett is an easy going baby and didn’t have a problem adapting to daycare and the schedule there. Skyler and I have kind of adjusted our schedules to fit with daycare (basically what time he naps) on the weekends and it hasn’t been an issue.
The first two weeks at daycare he was extremely clingy to me when we got home. He would also breastfeed for up to an hour both times before bed (5:30pm and 7:30pm). He’s gotten better and will finally let me put him down long enough to do some chores after we get home so that’s good! When we get home, I put him in this activity center so I can pump and clean all of my pump parts before feeding him. He loves to be upright and the toys on the activity center keep him occupied.
15 weeks- He rolled over from belly to back multiple times. He hasn’t done this a lot, but will when he has a lot of energy. He hasn’t rolled from back to belly just yet.
16 weeks- We got him this activity center and he loves it! Each day he learns something new and loves the lights and music. It’s adorable and also convenient to put him in when we are cleaning the house or getting ready.
SLEEP:
Jett is still sleeping through the night and goes down around 8-8:30pm. He typically wakes up right before 7 when Skyler gets him out of his crib to get him ready for school.
He’s still sleeping in his Love To Dream swaddle and we love it! Here soon we plan on transitioning him into the 50/50 version so that he can start sleeping with his arms out.
As for naps, he typically takes 2 a day during the week. One from 10am- 11am and one from 1:30pm - 3:30 or 4pm.
FEED:
He is still breastfeeding at night during the week. I have to pump 3 times a day to keep up with his feedings at daycare. He gets 4 bottles during the day Monday-Friday and we love the Como Tomo bottles! I also got him these bottle labels since 3 babies at school have the same bottle.
At 16 weeks we cut out the dream feed and he’s sleeping from 8:30pm-6:45am (he will sleep a little bit later on the weekends). He gets enough ounces at daycare during the day and also breastfeeding 2 times before bed, so I decided to cut out the dream feed. Before stopping that feed, he was having 5 ounces at 11:30pm. It’s really nice that I don’t have to wake up at 11:30 at night anymore and we never had any issues with him sleeping through the night after stopping the dream feed.
I think that about covers is although I’m sure I left something out because #mombrain! Thank y’all for stopping by the blog today!

Haley
