When we moved into our fixer upper, the laundry room wasn’t too high up on our list. However, after the 1980’s washer flooded half of the house, we changed our minds! I had the opportunity to partner with Tailored Living to design our dream laundry room and I couldn’t be more excited to share the before and after photos with you! The laundry room turned out even better than I had imagined and we have so much functional space and storage that we’ve never had before. It’s amazing!
Before the remodel, our laundry room had the same tile as the entire house. That’s the one thing we knew we would re-do because we put the same LVP throughout. In the process, the laundry room was torn apart and semi put back together but the functionality wasn’t great. The single wire rack above the washer and dryer didn’t allow for much storage space and there was just so much potential.
When the floors were laid, the doors to the laundry closet were taken off and we had an a-ha moment. We realized we could utilize the space so much more without doors. Tailored Living helped us bring our vision to life and the functionality of the new laundry room is a 12/10! Skyler and I hang dry 80% of our laundry, so having a space designated for this is beyond amazing. We used to have clothes hanging on our canopy bed at least 2 days a week- ha! One of our other huge pet peeves is how much closet space hampers take up so we installed 3 in the laundry room instead. One for darks, one for whites, and one for towels. It’s perfect!
WORKING WITH TAILORED LIVING //
Tailored Living sent out a consultant to measure the laundry room, show us samples, and digitally render the future laundry room space. Our consultant was knowledgeable and had the rendering done so quickly! She was even able to show us how different cabinet colors would look in the rendering as we looked at the samples in person. After that, we signed off on our design and got on the schedule for installation.

THE AFTER //
My favorite thing about the laundry room makeover is that it’s not only functional but it’s absolutely beautiful too! We have so much storage with the upper and lower cabinets, the floating shelves are great for decor, the laundry hampers pull out for easy access, and the drying rack is a life saver! I’m so happy with the way it turned out, what do you think?!
