It's almost December and you know what that means?! Holiday parties galore! If you have a fancy soiree to attend, then there is one trend you should absolutely try- a slip dress! These silky little numbers are chic as can be with the right accessories and can be worn to a black-tie event or dressed down with a sweater. Today I'm showing you how to style it both ways to illustrate just how versatile a little slip dress can be.

When paired with a vintage fur or faux fur jacket, you'll go from looking like your ready for bedtime to looking more like a movie star in seconds! You'll also need some glam accessories like a metallic clutch and statement necklace. Polish off your screen siren look with a red lip and you'll truly turn heads!
For a more relaxed look, this slip dress can be paired with a simple V-neck sweater. I went for a monochromatic look and chose a rose pink sweater that was almost the same color as the dress. Mixing textures is key when pairing items of the same color- knits go great with satin and metallics are a nice touch too!
To give the illusion of the sweater being tucked in, you'll need a thin belt. The belt won't show, so don't worry if it doesn't match perfectly. Tighten the belt at your waist over the dress, put on the sweater, and tuck a few inches of the sweater into the belt. You don't want to tuck too much because you want the front of the sweater to drape over the belt so it doesn't show. Now you have a totally different look for your next party!
More holiday outfit inspiration will be coming your way soon, so check back often! Thank y'all so much for stopping by today!
