I'm SO EXCITED to share Jett's black and white nursery with y'all today! I had so much fun putting this room together and absolutely LOVE how it turned out. It flows perfectly with the rest of our home and is so cozy and bright. Keep reading to see all of the photos and shop everything in his nursery!
Even before we found out the sex of our baby, I knew I wanted a mostly white nursery. It might not seem practical, but as long as the key pieces are washable I'd say it's manageable! The first piece we got for the room was the gorgeous antique dresser to use as a changing table. You can read all about the DIY transformation here!
Next up was the crib! You might have seen on my Instagram stories that we had to get rid of our beautiful wrought iron bed that was in this room. It was my best antique find ever and I LOVED the look of it. Since we had to replace it with a crib I thought what better than to replace it with something similar only in a crib version. This crib from Wayfair is so well made, it's absolutely gorgeous, and it also converts into a toddler bed!
Next, I had to find a glider. I wanted a slip covered chair so that it could be washable, but the chair I originally wanted from Pottery Barn Kids was a little bit too big for this room. That's when I stumbled upon an Ikea hack on Pinterest for a small slip covered glider! We got the glider and ottoman from Ikea, but unfortunately the fabric of the chair cover didn't match the fabric of the ottoman cover. For this reason, we didn't buy the covers from Ikea and got them custom made by Comfort Works. We opted for no pleats on the corners and y'all, I LOVE how they turned out! The covers are absolutely gorgeous and the best part is that they can be thrown in the washer! Hooray!
To pull everything together (and hide the gross carpet), we needed a cozy area rug. This one from Natural Area Rugs was perfect! I love that it covers up the dark carpet and it is SO SOFT. Dwayne sneaks into Jett's room all of the time to lay on it and I can't blame him!
I hope y'all enjoyed taking a peek into Jett's nursery and hope you love it as much as we do! Thank you Jessica DiBella for the beautiful photographs!
Xo,
Haley
